How it Works

Who Can Benefit

Therapeutic Riding

Without conscious effort, riders are treated to a proven therapy that is both fun and rewarding while they gain confidence and achieve goals. With therapeutic riding, the horse facilitates the motion of the human stride giving our students improved joint mobility, better balance and coordination.

Our NAHRA certified instructors and trained volunteers treat all riders with respect and build friendly and caring relationships.

Interactive Vaulting

Interactive vaulting is often described as gymnastics on the back of a moving horse. Vaulting is one of the safest equestrian disciplines, since the specially trained horse is controlled by a person experienced in longeing and the sport is performed in a very controlled environment.

Interactive vaulting lessons include:

  • Horsemanship activities

  • Warm up in the arena and on the barrel

  • Play games on and around the horse

  • Practice gymnastic positions on the back of the horse at different gaits, alone or in pairs

  • Work as a team

What interactive vaulting does for the vaulter

  • Improves balance & strength

  • Builds confidence

  • It is creative & educational

  • Helps to build social skills

  • It is FUN
